Spice Mobile recently has rolled out a new “Dual Mode (GSM+CDMA)” mobile handset – Spice D-1111. Spice claims that the D-1111 is India’s first dual mode mobile phone supporting live GSM and CDMA connections simultaneously. Obviously, the device would be the main rival for many  cheap Chinese mobile phones dual mode phone.

The Spice D-1111 is based on the Windows platform and had many exclusive VAS features, like Nimbuzz, Reuters, or Opera Mini, offer users even more functionality with the new handset. The device also come with Winmo pocket office application such as Microsoft Word/Excel, Microsoft Power-point, and Outlook for doing various official works, such as writing texts, composing mails, checking emails, etc.

In term of hardware, the Spice D-1111 is come with a pretty basic 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and expandable memory support upto 2GB. It also had a touchscreen display that an has a integrated stylus and alpha-numeric keypad for easier operations.

Another service that will come included in the device is the Email2SMS service, which enables users to receive their emails as SMSes while on the move. The phone will retail at a price of Rs. 18,499 and is now available across all Spice dealers.
