The BlackBerry Storm2 9550 is actually identical to the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520. The only differences between this two smartphone is 9550 support CDMA while 9520 support GSM because On America CDMA is more popular than GSM. That is also mean Balckberry 9550 is more targeting US market and Blackberry 9520 is landing on other region that using GSM network like in Asia. Note that also, BB Storm 2 9550 is going to Verizon, meanwhile AT&T got the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520, so you have to make sure these differences, especially who are living in the regions where covered by both of the network. As the name suggested, the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 is the second generation of the original Blackberry Storm. Unlike others BB smartphone, the Storm is not equipped with the company popular Qwerty keypad, and instead it features touchscreen for input options. However in the last Storm, the clumsy touchscreen experiences and unstable software make it condemned by most of the users. So when it come with BB Storm 2, the company has made a vast improvement on the device, hoping to get back the reputation that lost.
In a glance, the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 is identical to it predecessor in term of the layout, but the Storm2 is 5g heavier. The largest design difference is the function keys below of the screen. On the original these were four physical buttons, but this time it use touch sensitive buttons that incorporated into the screen itself. For software, The Storm2 is using a new touch technology that called Surepress technology, that was revamped from the original one and it is more sensitive and faster. The second major upgrade is that the BlackBerry Storm2 now supports WiFi, which is good news for many people like to surfing internet. Besides, the internal memory is doubled to include an integrated 2GB card which can be expanded via the microSD slot with another 16GB memory card.
