There are two new Black Label Series style Chocolate phone already has been launched by in this year. One is the fully touchscreen candy-bar LG BL40 Chocolate that we already seen on few weeks ago and the other one was is this LG BL20 New Chocolate. The latter one seem is a smaller version of the LG BL40 Chocolate that without touchscreen capability. Find out more after the jumps…

Design

The LG BL20 Chocolate is a slider form-factor phone. Not like the  LG BL40 that have a 4.01 inches touchscreen, LG BL20 only come with a smaller  2.4 inches display which is the typical display for most of the slider phone. Below the display is housed the touch-sensitive navigation keys, much as on the previous model. Sliding up the front panel, unveiling the numeric flat keypad. However unlike the 4 rows keypad that we always see, it has designed in 5 rows where at uppermost button row, the one where the send, end and delete keys are. The phone measures at 106.9 x 50.8 x 12.3 mm which is just perfect to hold in a palm.  And it is slim enough where you can easily fit to any thigh jean’s pocket. Overall all, the layout still very stylish  which eager followers of fashion trends will like it a lot.

Music and Video

The music player in LG BL20 is typical one that can play most of the popular music formats such as MP3,AAC, AAC+ and WMA files. Likewise you can sort your tracks in by artist, album, Genres and playlists. The player also sports several equalizer presets to alter the way your music sounds. The music quality through the loudspeaker is amazing, clear and load. As video playback concerns, the LG BL20 supports H.264, MP4 and WMV video playback. Unfortunately, DivX and XviD are not supports. The video can be play at a resolution of 320×240 pixels without the frames, but be frankly the size of display is certainly not for video viewing pleasure.

Camera

The LG BL20 Chocolate features a 5 megapixel camera that is touted to have auto focus, flash and digital zoom. The camera UI is pretty easy to handle, and  offers number of functions, including white balance, effects, night mode, ISO sensitivity etc. The pictures quality is somehow moderate quality, not up to a 5MP standard.  The handset also captures video at a maximum resolution of 320×240 pixels. But again the quality is not satisfied. This camera for normal shooting is okay, just don’t expect too much on it.

Conclusion

To be honest, the LG BL20 New Chocolate is just a moderate midrange phone in as the functionality concerned. There are no significant breakthrough on the features in this handset. However we also have to admit that the design of the phone is really eye-catching and beautiful enough to be another fashion icon.  If you look for a handset that can match with your appearance outfit, then  LG BL20 New Chocolate is no doubt is a good option.
