The LG GM310 is a mid-level music-centric device that just has been released last month. The GM310 also known as the LG-GM210 or LG-GM205, depending on who the operator/country is. The targeted market of this handset is more on teens since they are those who are more inclined in listening to music and the affordable price won’t burden student so much. Apparently, the music capabilities is the hottest selling point of the device.
Design
The LG GM310 is a sleek slider device. Measures at 104.7 x 51.9 x 13.9 mm, the phone is seem a little bit bigger than we thought. However, it is still feel comfortable in hand. The sliding mechanic also very smooth, a little push by the thumbs on the edge of the bottom will enough to unveiled the keypad out. The front panel house the 2.2 inches TFT display. Quality is acceptable for a mid-range screen. The under the display you will see the unique touch-sensitive navigation panel. Unlike other handset, this navigate panel actually is a set of music control keys as well as the regular soft keys like End, Back,Cancel and menu. At the right side of the phone, you will see the music and camera dedicated key lied. Also, as a dedicated mucis device, the phone has a 3.5mm Audio Output Jack at the top of the left side, over the volume keys.
Music
Music capabilities is all the LG GM310 promise to provide. It come with a very cool music player. Besides the basic sorting tracks and random playing features, the player also have a special feature called Music Tea where to suit your state of mind with the songs in the phone. When press in to the Music Tea features, you will see nine different ‘flavor’ of ‘Tea Bags’ which indicate the style of your songs such as Deep, Refresh, Holy, Classical and etc of ‘flavor’. Frankly, it is only a fancy way to create a Playlist. There is also a feature like Mix & Match for you to play your songs according to your mood. Unfortunately, this feature only is inconvenient, because songs selection have to controlled through computer.
LG GM310 also applying the Dolby Mobile Dolby Mobile Sound and new High-end LG Sound engine technology. It is an integrated audio technologies that elevates the mobile entertainment experience. Therefor the audio quality of GM310 is decent. You can even have even more good audio quality if you have your headset on, the bass is stronger.
If you use LG GM310 for only listen to the music, than you can continue non-stop listening up to 60 hours of music with the batteries fully charged. This is brilliant because not most of the music phone cannot do that. However, the 512 MB of internal memory is not enough for most of the music lovers so the microSD card up to 32 GB is allowed to insert to this phone.
Other Features
The handset also spot a 3.12 MP camera with autofocus. The quality is quite good actually, and enough for most of the users. Don’t forget that the handset also support HSDPA 3G network, so surfing the internet would be no problem. But there is no videocall camera for you to face-to-face chatting with your friends.

It is all about the music capabilities in LG GM310. It is true that it is a strong music phone but apart of that, you will founds other features in GM310 is quite basic. If listening music is all you needed, then this GM310 is worth to take a look.
