LG RUMOR 2 Review – E-mail-Centric Phone

South Korean company LG in conjunction with the North American mobile operators Sprint officially submitted the new mobile phone – LG Rumor 2, which is the replacement of its popular predecessor. Like its predecessor, the LG Rumor 2 (aka AX265) remains an accessible and easy-to-use phone. Its claims to make available precise and improved easy typing device.

Design

Mobile Phone LG Rumor 2 slightly different design from its predecessor, but It still has the lateral slider design. For the QWERTY-keyboard, unlike the LG Rumor phone, it has four rows of buttons instead of three.  Also, the display has higher resolution (240 x 320 pixels) and its colors are bright and vibrant, graphics are sharp. The navigation array also has slightly redesigned – the Rumor2 has a square toggle instead the circular toggle that’s on the Rumor. .

Features

The handset has the very intuitive interface. It is easy to navigate but it took too many clicks to access a folder other than our in-box.

The handset also has feature GPS with support for Sprint Navigation , it works with Sprint’s Family Locater service. Unfortunately only Sprint’s subscriber allow to use it.

For email service, LG Rumor 2 is come with the e-mail that app you can access many POP3 accounts including AOL, AIM, Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail. Your messages download directly to the phone instead of go through a clunky Web browser.

The camera of LG Rumor 2 is remains the 1.3 MP camera. Similarly, the camera takes pictures in three resolutions and three quality settings. However, you will oddly to found that the camera dose not support video recording. The Photo quality was pretty good as in its range.

In term of music, the Rumor 2′s music player has a basic player that supports MP3, MIDI, WAV, AMR, and QCP files. However the music quality was just average. Oddly enough, you can’t save music tracks as ring tones.

Final Words

The LG RUMOR 2 actually is somewhat disappointing. It has nothing significant changes from the its predecessor and doesn’t support Sprint’s EV-DO network. It feels like the Rumor 2 is downgraded. However, it has to admit that it is a good e-mail-centric phone.
