Not everyone like those fancy expensive high end phones. There has a bunch of people that only look for an easy-use simple phone. Regarding to this phenomena, phone manufacturers will continue to release some low end phones even they can create better phone then that. Thus, Motorola and Sony Ericsson both recently have released their own low end phone to target this market.

The Motorola W388 and Sony Ericsson T303 are both so alike in their spec which is so basic. Both are a low-end 2G phones with camera features and can only accesses to the internet with GPRS. The biggest differences of these phones would the Bluetooth connectivity and memory capacity. Moto 388 is come without support Bluetooth connectivity. The lack of it might be turns some people away. But in term of memory capacity, Moto W388 is better then SE T303.The SE T303 is come with 8MB of internal memory and without a card slot. Meanwhile, Moto W388 is come with 7.5MB shared memory and supports up to 2G memory card. In this case, Moto W388 has a litter advance then SE T303.

Talking of the design, I think most of the people will like SE T303 more. SE T303 just looks so fashion and construction well above its rank. You will think it is a high end phone if you don’t know its spec. Moto W388 is quite disappointed in the design. It is not ugly, but just can’t attract people’s eye.

Motorola W388 was released after the success of its predecessor Motorola W230. The mobile phone is almost identical to W230 in all the specs except a VGA camera, bigger screens and little memory increase. The phone is sells for under $100. As we see the spec of this phone, the prices can be considered reasonable. Sony Ericsson T303 is more expensive then Moto W388. It is above
$200 (unlocked). I don’t think SE T303 deserve for this prices since the spec of SE T303 is not so attractive and even cannot support memory card. The greatest selling point of SE T303 for me would be the nice looking and compact phone.

In conclusion, Motorola W388 is better in price and memory and Sony Ericsson is good in design and connectivity.
