The Nokia 7100 Supernova is the newest addition to the popular Supernova collection. The handset has “developing countries” as the target, and can provide information about the agriculture, pricing of produce, and more.

The 7100 Supernova has a slide opening casing which makes it a compact style handset. Its overall measurements are 15mm in depth by 48.4mm in width by 98mm tall which allows the user to use their handset in a single hand. It weights around 103.5 g. on the back it has a 1.3 mega pixel camera with digital zoom. The buttons on 7100 Supernova are smooth and makes massaging easy and fast. The look and feel of this phone is nice and you can almost feel the fashion statement that this phone makes.

Nokia 7100 Supernova is a mid-range cell phone in slider form factor. But this doesn’t mean it can’t be a good phone for customers who don’t need a myriad of high-end capabilities. The Nokia 7100 Supernova on Tri-band GSM (for some markets) that includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 and Mail on Ovi. Additionally, the Nokia 7100 Supernova offers 2″ QVGA screen and Opera mini browser to surf the web through a GPRS connection. In terms of signal reception and call quality, the handset performs well, which is no wonder, since it’s a Nokia.

The user can enjoy their music whenever they want to by using the built in music player which comes complete with easy to use music features. The 7100 Supernova supports easy music transfer which allows the user to transfer all their CD’s & favourite music quickly & easily. The music player supports a wide range of music playing formats which include MP3, AAC format, Midi, WAV format & AMR. The user can download new ringtones in MP3, AAC or polyphonic sound & change their ringtones to suit their personal taste. It won’t stun anyone with its aspect, but it’s cool that it can run in the background.  Unfortunately, the phone has no dedicated volume keys, so it is the setback of this phone.

The 1.3MP camera in 7100 Supernova is simple, no autofocus or flash were included. In considering the phone’s price, I bet user won’t expect more for the camera specs. However, the outdoor photos are not that bad.

Nokia 7100 Supernova probably is one of the more affordable Supernova phones from Nokia. It got no those fancy high-tech stuff, but it really practical to use. If you’re interested in a basic cellphone that only costs around €75 ($94), just take a look at this Nokia 7100 Supernova.
