What else can a cell phone do except just being a calling gadget, camera, music/video player and a GPS tool? Well, Samsung can answer this question because with the cooperation of Adidas, Samsung has released their first sport mobile phone - Samsung F110, which is also known as the Samsung Adidas miCoach.
The Samsung F110 can be considered as a personal fitness coach. The company allows user to set up your training regime with register on the miCoach Web site and select a training goal, ranging from the Learning to Run option for beginners to the Improve Performance for marathon-level runners. Then you can transfer the workout program into your F110 by a USB cable and start you personal workout plan. As you run, the handset monitors both your pace via the pedometer (included in the box) and your heart rate via the chest sensor. It gives you voice instructions through the supplied headphones on your running pace during different stages of the workout. It really makes you feel like you have a real personal coach beside of as you are jogging.
Beside, the phone’s display also shows real-time data such as time, heart rate, distance, speed and calories burned. When you’ve finished your workout, you sync it with the miCoach Web site to view the stats for your run. It is easy for you to track your performance and manage your workout plan accordingly. Isn’t sound prefect?
Other features of Samsung F110 are including MP3/AAC/eACC/WMA player, Stereo FM radio, 2 MP picture/video camera and 1 GB embedded memory. However, I am little bit disappointed by the camera function because the camera is doesn’t have auto focus, or a flash of any kind. To connect to the internet, you can only use GPRS or EDGE as the connection network because F110 aren’t a 3G phone.
The Samsung F110 is an excellent combination between Samsung and Adidas. For those people who are overweight or intend to keep your body, you should consider to have it.
