Samsung presented new b music phone and this new phone called with the M3510 Beat b. Samsung’s ear for music has never been in doubt. But somehow music phones have never been at the forefront of their portfolio. However this product promises to be massive, are selling well in its segment. The model was created as a direct competitor of Nokia 5310, despite the fact that the product from Nokia is the market for a long time. As an affordable music phone, this device is interesting and strong. It was set for developers to build a competitor already existing solutions from Nokia and Sony Ericsson, Samsung were able to achieve an unusual mixture of different functions, which will come like many young people.

Design

The phone has a slim silhouette, only 9.9mm thick just exactly like Nokia 5310. The keypad of the phone’s small and it is always the problem occurred. The Samsung M3510 display is an enlarged 2 inches diagonal screen with the resolution of QVGA, 240h320 points (31h41 mm). The screen displays up to 262000 colors (TFT). It has excellent picture quality, color, fresh and bright. The screen loses AMOLED-display in the Samsung Emporio Armani, but looks at the best in its segment. Directly below the display are three buttons control playback (Play / Pause and rewind in both parties). Another (Music) button located on the right end: it is responsible for launching the player. At the back of M3510 is the 2MP camera. In additon, this phone has a 3.5 mm jack for those music lover.

The Phone comes in several colors – the first device on the market will be black with a golden border around the screen. It also will be available and other colors – Imperial Black, Black Red, Pure White.

Music and Video

Samsung M3510 has very good player, which music files like MP3, AAC and WMA support and an FM radio with RDS. In addition to the special music buttons on the front of the M3510, this device also has some unique music features. This allows you through the motion control the music player by moving the unit. Samsung M3510 have the quality of the music is very good with the “Beat-B” technology. Icon gamut to the main menu of the mobile phone music player in this, but we can quickly access through the control player. What surprising is the phone also come with the shake control feature just like the Sony Ericsson one. Just pressing the play button or pause shake to the left, right, up, down, we can change the track songs easily.

In term of video playback, there is player for playing MPEG and 3GP files. Unfortunately, to say the quality of video is a bit disappointed, all at the secondary level.

Camera

Samsung M3510 Beat b it is equipped with a 2Mp digital camera without autofocus and flash. Being a music phone, it is obvious that the camera is not one of the best. However, the pictures are not bad and the camera menu is traditional for Samsung, with enough options. Other comments are not necessary here.

User Interface

The main menu presents a matrix of icons (3×4). All submenus are lists of horizontal, but not display the submenu in the same list as the Samsung U900.  The menu operates remembering the last position in each of the sub-menu and main menu. The Staff recall what function you are treated for the last time, and by default when you enter the menu highlights it. In the M3510, there is support themes, which are very much changing the presentation interface. Icons are also very nicely traced.

Final Words

Samsung M3510 has a very thin “Ultra Slim” and a very beautiful design, but if compare with other music phone, M3510 will have a little left behind. As it price about USD150-USD200, it the phone is acceptable. However, for those who are heavy texter, this phone is just not your cup of tea because it is hard and difficult to create a message, and it has only two hundred message memory.
