The Samsung U800 Soul b is another Samsung soul series phone after Samsung U900 Soul. The different of Samsung U800 from other Soul’s phones would be the design of the phone since there is already have flip (Samsung G400) and slide (Samsung U 900) out there. And now Samsung U800 Soul b is come with the candy bar style design.
The Samsung U800 Soul b has a quite slim design. With the measurement of 111 x 46 x 9.9 mm and 89g, the phone is easily to put inside your pocket. The lines on the exterior of the phone is clean and the body is covered by brushed metal to make it feel solid and look compact, simple and fashion. It has been told that Samsung U800 Soul b is available in 5 different color versions which are namely Soul Grey, Platinum Silver, Metallic Black, Soul Pink and Amethyst Violet.
Apparently Samsung U800 Soul b is not the high end phone. The 3.15MP camera is not the best camera of the Soul phone because it already got 5MP camera in G400 and U900. What worst is the camera in U800 is come without the auto focus function. Beside the tri-band of the phone also make the phone won’t be able to use in certain country. All these are the disadvantage of the phone. However in contrast, Samsung U800 Soul b have something that quite impressive as well. The 1G of internal memory which is makes it stand out from the other phones. And the 2.0″ 16M-color TFT LCD display of QVGA resolution can provide a very decent image in the phone.
If you don’t count the lacks of camera and network of the phone, honestly Samsung U800 Soul b is a quite decent phone that comes along with very stylish design. In term of functionalities, Samsung U800 Soul b is not that worst but it should be better. I wonder why Samsung take its step backward on U800 Soul b. Maybe it is considering the price of the phone? But in the price above $300, the phone is deserved better. Meanwhile there are also has the controversial that the phone similarly equipped with Nokia 6500 classic and Sony Ericsson W890 have been around for a while. Well, I leave it for you to judge it.
