I bet you when you first look at Sony Ericsson G900, you probably wouldn’t think that G900 is Smartphone. Indeed, the G900 is a smartphone. We might confuse by the design because it’s an uncommon design for smartphone of the company. The design of SE G900 is so looks very similar to an ordinary SE cell phone, not the kind of smartphone that we used to see. Frankly, the appearance of the phone actually is not impressive much. It is just like another standard, slim candybar phone. In other words, this is a clean, pocket friendly phone.

The Sony Ericsson G900 is a touch-screen Symbian UIQ smartphone. The touch-screen LCD is quite responsive and the application icons which is located at the bottom of the screen in a single line is big enough for thumb use. You can configurable shortcuts array at your disposal to make everyday tasks easier. The phone also comes with a stylus, but you won’t need it much since the touch screen can easily access by your fingers.

Although Sony Ericsson G900 is not the Walkman phone but the phone has fully featured multimedia player similar to that of Walkman model such as Music/Video player, MegaBass equalizer preset and FM radio tuners with RDS. The G900 also packs a higher resolution 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus along with WiFi connectivity. User can simply adjust focus of an image by only touching that area onscreen. This feature makes the Sony Ericsson G900 stand out amongst the rest of the camera phones available. However, the camera works somewhat slow and the colors don’t look too good.

The Sony Ericsson G900 turned out to be an interesting phone. The phone has the functions of a smartphone but integrated in a normal device make it so unique. However, according some user comment, the phone has a very bad battery life and slightly lag on certain application. That is quite normal because every phone must has it pros and cons. If the cons don’t annoying you, then this is a good phone for you.
