The Sony Ericsson W705 was unveiled in conjunction with the MTV Europe Music Awards. Since Sony Ericsson is one of the main sponsors of the event, this was a good tactic to advertise the Sony Ericsson W705.
Design
Look familiar? Yes, the Sony Ericsson W705 shared the same classic design of its popular slider phone. It particulary look so alike with Sony Ericsson G705 but its come with a different color such as Luxury Silver and Passionate Red. When these colors combine with steel facia and fetching gold trim the Sony Ericsson W705 look so excellent. The 95 x 47.5 x 14.3 mm and 98 g Walkman slider is equipped with a 2.4 inches, 240 x 320 pixel TFT screen. Overall the phone is typical for its class sizes, no problem to put inside your pocket or trouser.
Music
As the pioneer in the music phone niche, Sony Ericsson did not disappointing us with SE W705. The audio quality is excellent. The Sony-Ericsson W705 handset includes popular Walkman features such as the music recognition application TrackID, SensMe, for matching your mood to the music and Shake control to change tracks with the flick of your hand. The biggest drawback of the W705 is the lack of a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and the included adapter takes up the phone’s USB port, make it so inconvenient.
Camera
The Sony Ericsson W705 have a 3.2-megapixel camera with the LED photo light but no flash. So it is good snapshots in bright light. However, the shutter speed is fast enough, almost no lagging in between pressing the shutter and taking the picture.
Data
Beside the common USB and Bluetooth for transfering data in Sony Ericsson W705, the phone also support WiFi networking. However, the battery only lasting for 3 hour when connect with WiFi. So the WiFi feature cannot be optimized.
Final Words
The Sony Ericsson W705 is a good music phone, but not an excellent music phone. Yes, it deliver high quality music experience but lack 3.5mm headphone jack turn it down. The phone has a stylish design but the keypad button is too small to press. The Sony Ericsson is an ordinary music phone.

I agree, Sony, even mixed with phones, only make a good music player. Their technology is slightly lacking in that department. If they would maybe stop with all the cool styles and instead focus on making a good music player then maybe they’d be able to make a good music player/phone too.
Thanks
